Thursday November 29

Here is where H is going to *hopefully* become a constant. As I left the gym, after a half ass workout, I ran into H. She was excited to learn I go to the same gym as her, saying she needed a work out partner. OH man- can I relate.

Let's rewind to Tuesday. My hip hop class got cancelled, so I drove to the gym to do a fun workout class on their anytime classes, except, one was already started. I somehow talked myself out of needing to do a workout. Luckily my little brother's friend talked me into staying and working an arm workout with him. Then I left. That's it. A 20 minute arm workout with 2 other's, so you can figure not much working out got done.

So, H and I decided to become workout buddies. THursday- our first workout!

We got to the gym around 9. Thankfully, not many witnesses were there to see our go around.
We started on the eliptical- a nice 15 minute workout to get our hearts pumping. Ok let's be honest, the TV's made it go much quicker :)
Then we went to the arm workouts. Did some different types of pulls. Now, is that technical ?! No- SORRY! I'm not sure what they were called. It was a big nice machine. I did some rows, some lat pull downs, some curl like things, and some pull down things. That's as technical as that one's gonna get. It's the fat girl in me !Then we went and did an ab blast! 20 minutes, pure ab workouts! It went really quickly and was a blast actually.
Next came the spin class. Or lack of. It was a 30 minute class. We did a whooping 7 1/2 minutes. In my defense, I shattered my cocyx (fancy term for butt bone area) 3 years ago. Those spinning bikes are NOT made for comfort - that's for damn sure ! But, we did it for a bit so go us!
Then we went and relaxed in the sauna and had some great convo!
On our way to a new me.... so far a success! :)

Day 1- Wednesday November 28

Day 1. It has no significant start date. It has no significant push. I just decided to do it. I've been working on it all week. And, honestly, running into H at the gym this week probably helped too ! You'll read more about that in the post from Thursday.

Project 1- An adult sanctuary

Let's start with the bedroom. I want it to be a serene resting place, and, frankly, a room I can maybe someday leave the door open and not worry about someone peeking in. Our bedroom was always the catch all. A laundry basket, random shoes, random clothes, bed never made, and just PILES of piles.
So, I started on the worst half- Luis (my husband's) half. I picked up all of his work clothes (amazng how many socks, shirts, and pants seem to somehow multiply and live on his side of the bed) and got those to the laundry room. I made the bed. I cleaned up piles. It's amazing the neat o things you can find when you look through some areas you have left neglected for a month, or two, or 14.
It's good now. My side is 80 percent of the way there. Luckily, my side is partially hidden by the door. So, gasp, I'm not TOO afraid if our door gets left open when someone's here. Although for now, I still may keep trying to close it. Old Habits Die Hard

What will you be reading ?!

I bet you are wondering, hm, what brought me to this page !?!?
Maybe it was Pinterest, maybe it was an accident, or maybe it was luck !

I'm working on transforming myself- as a whole. What does that mean ? There has to be a better way to organize my life- my work space, our bedroom, our home, my eating habits, my working out habits, etc.

It's not going to be easy, it might not be pretty, but gosh darn it I'm going to give it a try!

Hop along for the ride
